MOJ Plans to go into hydraulics
Q4 in the black?
MOJ, manufacturer of couplings and drilling machines, hopes that following an unsuccessful third quarter it will again make a net profit in these three months.
‘We’ve got a good chance of that. We will certainly end the year in the black’, says Andrzej Kosecki, the company president. After three quarters, MOJ has made a net profit of PLN 0.4 million with PLN 13.7 million of sales. Well-grounded in what is known as the mining base, the company from Katowice netted PLN 1.7 million in 2008.
MOJ has been regularly expanding its product offer; now with props.
‘The present economic downturn is a good moment to make changes in what we offer. In future quarters we will attempt to make a name for ourselves in hydraulics’, adds the head of the company.
Fading, the key shareholder, with 69% of votes, plans to build biogasworks. As we discovered, the subsidiary company wants to profit from the project as well. ‘Today it is difficult to discuss the details but we count on our participation in contracts’, replies Kosecki. The coupling manufacturer wants to expand its services to enter more and more branches, not only the mining industry. Power engineering and cement mills are becoming more and more significant for the company. On Tuesday, the company shares were PLN 3.03 (a fall of 3.5%).
